As the Food Service Teacher at Primrose School of Exeter, you’ll do more than prepare meals—you’ll create a well-run, highly organized kitchen that keeps our school moving. Make a difference every day:

  •  Prepare delicious, nutritious meals and snacks that encourage healthy eating habits 
  •  Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment 
  •  Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting with strong attention to detail 
  •  Monitor and strictly adhere to all allergy and food restriction guidelines 
  •  Ensure all food and preparation areas remain nut-free and safe for all children 
  •  Follow daily menus and support food planning in collaboration with the Director 
  •  Assist with ordering, inventory, and accurate food quantity planning

Desired skills and experience:

  •  Must meet basic requirements of local child care and food service regulatory agencies 
  •  Ability to relate positively to young children and staff 
  •  Previous experience in high-volume food preparation (serving 100+ children daily) preferred 
  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential 
  •  Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed for daily tasks and safety situations
